Motorbike Touring Italy

Take the Route. Stop for the View. Stay Longer if You Want.

One of the reasons we built our self-guided motorcycle tours in Europe is simple: we wanted riders to experience some of the best European motorcycle routes without having to spend every evening planning the next day.

Because there’s a big difference between having the freedom to explore and having to organise everything yourself.

With a self-guided tour, the practical details are already taken care of. Carefully planned routes, accommodation and the information you need for the journey are all in place.

You just need to ride.

The Freedom to Ride Europe Your Way

Not everyone wants to travel as part of a group.

Sometimes you want to set off in the morning and know that the day ahead is yours. You might want an early start while the roads are quiet, or a slower morning with another coffee before getting back on the bike.

That’s the beauty of a self-guided motorcycle tour.

You have a carefully planned route to follow, but how you experience the day is up to you.

Take the detour. Stop for lunch. Spend a little longer at the viewpoint. It’s your trip.

Great Motorcycle Routes Without Hours of Planning

Planning a motorcycle tour through Europe from scratch can take a surprising amount of time.

There are the obvious questions. Where should you stay? How far should you ride each day? Which roads are actually worth including?

Then there are all the smaller decisions that can make the difference between a good route and a great one.

We’ve already done that work.

Our self-guided European motorcycle tours are built around roads we believe are worth riding, with daily routes designed to make the journey as important as the destination.

Instead of spending your evenings researching tomorrow’s ride, you can enjoy where you are.

Experience Some of Europe’s Best Motorcycle Roads

There’s a reason Europe remains such an incredible destination for motorcycle touring.

The landscape can change dramatically during a single day’s ride. Mountain roads give way to valleys, lakes and rivers. Sweeping bends lead through open countryside before climbing back towards another mountain pass.

And then there are those roads you didn’t know existed.

The ones that aren’t necessarily famous or covered in signs and stickers, but turn out to be some of the best riding of the entire trip.

Our routes are designed to combine the places you want to experience with the roads that make getting there worthwhile.

Enjoy the Parts That Matter

Once the planning is taken care of, you have more time to enjoy the details that make motorcycle touring in Europe so memorable.

Cool mountain air through an open visor. Winding roads beside lakes and rivers. Warm coffee at altitude. A quiet lunch stop somewhere you hadn’t expected.

And that ridiculous view around the next bend that makes you pull over, switch off the bike and stay for a while.

These are the moments you remember when you get home.

Independent Motorcycle Touring Without Starting From Scratch

Self-guided touring sits somewhere between a fully organised guided tour and planning an entire European motorcycle trip yourself.

You still have the independence that makes solo riding, or touring with your own friends, so appealing.

But you also have the reassurance of knowing that the main elements of your trip have already been thought through.

That means less time worrying about logistics and more time concentrating on the road ahead.

For riders who like their independence but don’t want the hassle of organising every detail, it offers the best of both worlds.

Travel at Your Own Pace

One of the biggest advantages of a self-guided motorcycle holiday is flexibility.

There’s no need to match somebody else’s pace or feel rushed because another rider wants to move on.

Found somewhere you love? Stay a little longer.

Want another coffee? Have one.

Seen a viewpoint that deserves a photograph? Pull over.

The route gives your day structure without taking away the freedom that makes travelling by motorcycle so enjoyable in the first place.

Sometimes the Road Really Is the Destination

A motorcycle tour isn’t only about the places you visit.

It’s about everything that happens between them.

The roads you weren’t expecting. The scenery that makes
