Meet Matthew
Matthew (RR): A Journey from Late Bloomer to Motorcycle Tour Entrepreneur
Accomplished Electrical Engineer, who discovered his passion for motorbiking relatively late in life at the age of 29. His introduction to the world of motorcycles began with a Honda CBR600R, a powerful machine that opened up new horizons and ignited a deep-seated enthusiasm for biking during his early days as an infant biking enthusiast. Matthew had also spent 13 years serving as a constable for Hampshire Constabulary, a role that honed his discipline and resilience.
However, just 10 months after embarking on this thrilling journey, Matthew’s passion was abruptly interrupted by a near-fatal car accident. This life-altering event put a sudden halt to his newfound hobby and led to years of challenging rehabilitation. Despite this setback, Matthew’s determination and love for motorbiking remained unwavering. As soon as he was physically able, he got back on a bike and continued his journey from where he had left off.
Over the years, Matthew’s experience and confidence as a biker grew. He cycled through several bikes and, thanks to an introduction to a fellow biker by their partners, he began to explore the beautiful roads of Britain. It wasn’t long before he set his sights on a new destination: the Alps. This desire to explore the breathtaking landscapes of the European mountains marked the beginning of an extensive period of travel. With over 16 years of European travel and countless miles in the saddle, Matthew had accumulated a wealth of experience and stories from the road.
This extensive experience prepared Matthew for a new business venture. The idea of OC&RR Motorcycle Tours was born, driven by his passion for motorbiking and the desire to share the thrill of the open road with others. As a proud father of two, Matthew has spent countless hours planning future tours and journeys, always looking forward to the next adventure and the one after that.
Matthew’s story is one of resilience, passion, and a solid spirit. His journey from a late-blooming biking enthusiast to a successful entrepreneur in the motorcycling community is an inspiration to all who know him.
